My confession, but I hope it's not fatal
Huh.
I think maybe that’s what came to my mind the first time I finished it. It wasn’t the type of feeling when you were finally over it, but when the picture came together and you dare to take a breath or remember because you held back until then.
Exactly such an experience was Bander Anita's first and hopefully not the last book, Fatal Confessions (Végzetes vallomások).
I recommend it with a calm heart, to buy it.. On the one hand, because to quote my favorite band, "Don't just buy one, support the culture ..." (Bëlga - Együtt vagyunk, Lajos), and on the other hand, because it is hungarian and brilliant.
But everything about the awesome author can be found at the following two links, it’s worth a visit because it shows fantastic sophistication on every social interface:
- BanderBook webpage: www.banderbook.hu/
- Instagram: www.instagram.com/bander.book/
As a novice, I also registered as an author on instagram and looked at who was doing what. Anita's page stood out absolutely among the several pages I followed. As it turned out in weeks and months, she was also a novice author, but she wrapped up such a fantastically ingenious and demanding marketing around his book and work that I didn’t win a rush. I was easily seduced and waited to finally read the book and get the book as a kid for Christmas!
It arrived
I could hardly believe it when I finally saw the ordering option in early May 2022. I remember already noticing it tonight, but I knew I couldn’t wait, I needed this book!
I even got an answer after ordering, personally from the author (honorable!), But what came after ...
The book arrived in a few days - in such a demanding and beautiful package that I could barely break it, but I was forced to have the book hidden in it.
I opened it. And I found in it what I’ve never seen in a book I bought. The signature. A dedicated copy from Anita Bander. I was left without words and my smile stuck to my face. I simply couldn't stop it.
And if that wasn’t enough, I even got a personal message! (u.i .: I was pleasantly dreaded;))
The reading
I have to admit honestly I was in a huge dilemma. The book arrived just as I was holding it at the end of Stephen King - The Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass. The decision was a difficult one, so I quickly finished King’s work so I could safely focus on the Fatal Confessions (Végzetes vallomások).
I didn't believe it. The book read to itself that if I had to resemble eating, I devoured the pages. I read it one night and one morning and .... Huh.
I didn't get words.
The history
I think I keep this a secret, but I was not disappointed at all. Since I had never read a work by a first book author before, I was a little busy with the analysis at the beginning, as I was wondering how it was going for others (anyway, very good for Anita Bander!).
Then when Victor showed up ... The story dragged on and I could read a brilliant crime story.
And who was the culprit? I think you better see for yourself;)
Thanks again to Anita for the experience and I can't wait to keep the next book in my hands!
