Tab & Anitek
"Fogd össze a szárnyaim, így nem tudok elrepülni..."
Yeah I know. The translation is very weak to hungarian and in hungarian it doesn't really sound as nice as in the original lyrics.
But what will happen next? What am I going to say a few words about?
The title of today's blog post could even be a pleasant poetic picture from a beautiful Hungarian poem, but this is out of the question.
After all, the quote is from noone else than Tab. No. It is not about one of the participants on the keyboard.
Tab is the rapper, writer of the Tab & Anitek formation which is in my opinion known to very few people compared to the whole population of earth. However, unfortunately, we can only use everything in the past tense, because the path of the two of them has been separated for some time. In fact, to my knowledge, Tab is no longer active at all.
I had previously discovered the band called Tab & Anitek on Jamendo, where the first few albums were released.
The release of the album, which also includes a song which was the inspiration and source of the title of the post, dates back to 2009. At that time, my taste in music was still quite evolving, but I think this album took me in a very positive direction.
Basically nowadays (and probably even earlier, only less consciously) I choose what to listen to based on my mood and the mood of the last few days was given by this album and track.
Well, I don't want to drag on the curiosity of those who stumble upon the blog, what shall come, should come now - that is, the album itself :)
Title of the album: Chasing Rabbits (by clicking the title of the album, you will reach the youtube playlist for this album)
Date of release: 2009
Tracklist:
Down the Rabbit Hole
Scrapbook
Vitamin Shoppe
House of the Rising Son
Cheap Disguise
Here Comes the Rain
Charades
Last Call
Manipulated Living
Ballad of the Man that Never Made it
Elmer Fudd Theory (feat. Tone Liv)
I think the album went so well that it’s impossible to choose the one that is best. The other thing is that even if there was music that I like less, I’ve listened to it so many times and it helped so many times that I already liked it.
So, in the end, it is worth mentioning that Anitek, who is responsible for the excellent instrumental part, is still working actively and his work is available at the links below. If you are a little fond of lo-fi, hip-hop, instrumental basics, be sure to visit Mr. Anitek!

Anyway, it reminds me now; another genius track was made between Anitek and Tab, but since I once heard it, I haven't found it - I might be writing to Anitek to see if he can remember it!
Well I think that’s all about ‘Chasing Rabbits’; Do you find the track from which the quote comes? 😉
P.s.: I think I owe an apology to Tab for his activity, as I discovered he’s still bringing in albums, so I can’t miss his recommendation either, listen to him too!
